'Ignite for Tonight' undoubtedly takes on a unique position within the album's track list; though its focus seems to be quite radically different from the other tracks on the album, its function as a 'breather' of sorts is nonetheless essential for the album's overall sound. With an instrumentation strongly grounded in the funky sounds of yesteryear, the song is mainly centered around dancing and the act of having fun. There are few of the artists' trademark conscious approaches to be found here, proving once and for all that we're not dealing with the work of a 'one-trick pony'. Though it fits perfectly in the album's overall sound, 'Ignite for Tonight' might just as well have featured on the play list of a 1970's nightclub somewhere, strongly invoking the imagery of flashy outfits and equally flashy dance moves. Instead, it is to be found right here on 'Another Perspective', giving a somewhat unexpected musical twist to its overall sound. At the same time, it may be deemed common knowledge that sometimes the best things seem to come out of nowhere, and this track does well in its function of getting a party started.
