Nostalgically contemplating both past and future choices, 'Intersections' deals with the countless life choices we are all made to face on a daily basis. A walk down memory lane, it tells of the various exits presented to the narrator whilst traveling the long and winding road of life itself. Of course, the word exit might be a little misleading here – much like the highway itself, every point of exit forms but a point of entry leading onto an entirely new road altogether. Whilst we may well look back feeling like we should have made many different choices in retrospect, it is the realization that these very choices have lead us to where we are now which provides us with a sense of confidence in the outcome. The realization that the art of making choices is a fact inherent to life itself, might then well be the first and only step towards self-improvement. In short, 'Intersections' deals with a fact of life we might find hard to live with at first – but we may at least find comfort in the fact that nobody is exempt from this specific struggle; though nobody is ever faced with making the exact same choices as everybody else, it is the act of having to make them which becomes something that unifies us nonetheless.
