'Tributes' sees the well-deserved recognition of every individual fighting to make the world a better place in whichever area they may be pursuing their goals; pacifists, whistle-blowers, human rights activists, war zone doctors... the list goes on and on. It can sometimes be easy to forget that for every negative development taking place in the world, there are always those working towards achieving a positive counter-development, relentless in their efforts to 'raise hope from despair'. As the artist points out, being such a person is rarely an easy task; 'their will is unstoppable, their commitment is fearless'. It is for this very reason, however, that a recognition of their bravery becomes all the more important. Making use of a positive lyrical angle alongside an up-beat instrumentation, 'Tributes' is equally relentless in its focus on the positive side of a subject which may just as well have lent itself towards a more cynical and sorrowful approach.
