Telling the story of a soldier's confrontation with himself, the album's tenth track sees further experimentation with the use of different perspectives. On the one hand, it takes on the point of view of the story's victim; 'the soldier defeated my mom's life and left me her rings / behind my family picture I see his eyes / I see his pains, his fear and his disguise'. Interestingly, a feeling of empathy and understanding seems to take hold of a situation in which hatred would have been a much more obvious emotion. The narrator, despite the acts that have been done to him, never truly loses faith in the humanity of all, identifying compassion in the soldier's reaction. On the other hand, the story's soldier is made to confront the consequences of his actions, recognizing his own responsibility for his actions, having ' buried his soul with his own hands'. At the same time, of course, the story's suspect is simultaneously a victim himself, who interestingly refers to his own struggles as 'guilt agony'. Beneath the track's strong story-telling, there lies an equally powerful message; that despite one's actions, the humanity in every person may become buried beneath a cover of hatred, but can never be truly erased in itself. Such a message is echoed by the words of the story's remorseful soldier, who exclaims that he 'recognizes the human in himself'. Though one's actions may never be undone, asking the question may be the first and only step in learning the lesson on which all future actions are to be based.
lyrics
I am the diary of human unlearned lessons
Around the entire globe I hear the confessions
She said, I finally outlived 7 springs
A soldier defeated my mom's life and left me her rings
Behind my family picture, I see his eyes
I see his pains, his fear and his disguise
If one day the fairy will visit
I would ask his presence for a minute
I would share my mom's stories and tales
I would share all my drawing details
Would he reconsider his action?
I believe in every heart there is a corner of passion
A corner of compassion
I saw in his last reaction
(Chorus)
Who looks for wars, distorts the ethics
Blinds the hearts with his methods
Aligns killing with a brave moral
Puts the phrase dead innocent in plural
Power and greed, human crashes
Sour creed, his extinction flames and ashes
Turn the page of the hall of shame
I recognize the beast in me, he exclaimed
I’m trained to kill and never look back
I lose a part of me after each attack
I hunt preys to be hunted by ghosts of PTSD
I actually call it guilt agony
I buried my soul with my own hands
For somebody’s Ego plans
I took the wrong life exit certainly
I cannot put back the pieces again perfectly
However, I recognize the human in me, he exclaimed
I will keep my story until it's retained
For all the people lost and guessing
Ask the question and you will learn the lesson
(Chorus)
Who looks for wars distorts the ethics
Blinds the hearts with his methods
Aligns killing with a brave moral
Puts the phrase dead innocent in plural
Power and greed, human crashes
Sour creed, his extinction
flames and ashes
